Since I’ve known Cass, she’s been riding everyone else’s horses. Lexus showed up in her life eight months ago, and Cass now has a ride to call her own. The big sorrel grade AQHA mare is a red-head with a strong will of her own and an obsession with food. It’s a good pairing. Cass is level-headed and can… Read More
Wow. Talk about a gorgeous pair. I met Katie and her stunning (and young!) Paint/Clydesdale cross Melody at Burnaby Equestrian Center, on what has to have been the hottest day of the summer. Lucky for all of us, no one nor any of my gear melted and we produced some amazing photographs! Thank you Katie for having me out to… Read More
I wonder, do these portraits capture the spirit of each horse? Only their owners can answer that question. All of these photographs were taken in lineup at this year’s Wild and Wooly season open at Mission Horse Club. View The Complete Gallery of the Mission Horse Club Wild and Wooly Horse Show
Show season at Mission Horse Club starts next week but I popped out to the ring to catch a few photos of the Jodie Moore Showmanship Clinic. Here are my favorites. View the entire Gallery here

Stef and Toya, photographed in Mission, BC, with brand spanking new gear- Toya’s new white halter and my brand spankin’ new Canon 6D. Yes, we had some hiccups along the way- and no, not with the halter. Thanks to both of them for volunteering for a test session with the new camera
There is something very, very special about Hanna and Sprite and I am the luckiest person in the world to get to photograph them. I have never captured so many photos in a session, simply because I could not help myself- these two were just so cute and the setting in Pitt Meadows was just gorgeous.
Ginny is the apple of Kelsey’s eye. These two have a new but very special relationship and this once broodmare will now to anything for Kelsey, including chasing cattle, drill and riding in a night parade.
Danielle’s mom called me asking me to squeeze her in for a shoot, as Rocky the leadline pony is moving on to another family, and Danielle is moving up to a new horse. We got to say a happy goodbye and create some lasting memories of the pair.
Two of my favorite living things: Ashley and our horse Indy. Indy is 26 years old, and is the most wonderful honest mare you have ever seen. She’s bombproof, safe, broke, takes care of her little rider and is the first horse to be visibly afraid of my off-camera lighting! Wouldn’t you know! Regardless, we had a perfect fall session… Read More
