My daughter just had her 6th birthday. The original plan was to rent a bouncy castle, since we have such a nice big backyard at our new house. HOWEVER, the weather was terrible and we had to implement plan B- a dress up party with a photobooth.
It all went pretty smoothly. Not all the kids wanted to dress up and have a picture taken, but they seemed to have a great time anyway. Regardless, my daughter has a some great pictures of her and her friends. Next step is to create a mini-book for her with all the photos.
I made the photobooth backdrop with a vinyl tablecloth, streamers, some paper flowers, some discount valentines decorations strings. This party actually turned out to be pretty darn cheap- I made my own paperbag lootbags and the biggest expense was the 45 ballons i ordered to make the party feel pretty special.
